Hello Guys,
My name is Ron Desi and today I'm going to talk about an interesting subject, meaning how thoughts change our brain. For a long time now, we have known that our thoughts have an influence on everything that we do. However, it was only recently that the power of thought began to be presented as having the ability to shape our brain.
Our bodies have a physical reaction to each and every thought that we have, this being the reason why psychosomatic conditions are so often diagnosed. Here is how our thoughts modify our brain:
Gratitude - the constant practice of gratitude leads to the release of happiness hormones at the level of the brain, such as serotonin and dopamine, modifying our perspective on life.
Occupation - the brain might suffer a number of changes, in accordance to the thoughts that are occupation-related. For example, if you are a driver, you will think a lot of spatial orientation and direction. This will lead to changes in the hippocampus, which directly services this type of memory.
Music instruments - people who play a certain music instrument, such as the violin, have certain areas in their brain more developed than others. These are the ones that actually help one play the instrument in question.
Stress - if you are stressed all the time, with negative thoughts piling on, your brain will actually deteriorate. Stress, in combination with negative emotions, can modify the structure of the brain and lead to the appearance of psychosomatic conditions.
These are just some of the ways in which our brain changes, as a result of the thoughts that we process on a daily basis. The saying "you are what you think" is quite accurate, especially if we turn our attention towards negative thinking.
It is for the best to concentrate on positive thinking and allow each thought to have a beneficial influence on your brain. For more information on brain health and the power of thoughts, follow ConsumerHealthDigest.com.
