More people are gaining access to electricity, investments in renewable energy are up. But emissions continue to rise and fossil fuel use is also rising. In this edition of SDG Update, we talk with Adnan Amin, who heads the International Renewable Energy Agency , on what has to be done to provide access to electricity and clean cooking fuels, increase efficiency and increase the use of renewable energy.
