Conditionals in English! For the most part, English verbs are not too difficult. The word endings are simple—you just have to remember "-s" for the third person, "-ed" for the past tenses, and a few others, and many of the tenses and moods used in other languages have fallen out of use in English. But there's one exception: the conditional tenses. I'm not going to lie to you: these are complicated. There are four types of conditional, which we call the zero, first, second, and third conditionals. Why not one, two, three, and four? We're not sure! It may be just to confuse you. But don't despair! Unlike many English verb forms, these are regular: once you master them, you'll find that there are very few exceptions to the rules. So your best course of action is to work through these forms step by step, and that's exactly what we're here to help you do. Are you ready?
