While satellites orbit high above us, collecting hundreds of terabytes of data, Lori Perkins works down here on Earth to make that data visible. She takes the abstract measurements from the satellites and converts them into videos and images that show us our home planet -- from the rising global temperatures, to El Niño's ocean currents to the composition of our atmosphere.
