The simplest option strategy to start with is buying a single put or call. It’s easy to set up, so it’s often a go-to for beginners.

However, it’s actually hard to profit this way. Time decay (theta) and changes in volatility can work against you, reducing the value of your option over time.

For new traders, a more consistent strategy would be the wheel strategy or covered calls. These are generally more reliable and offer steady returns.
