Tesla today acquired a battery company named Maxwell Technologies for $218,000,000. This was a big deal for Elon Musk and Tesla to make at the given time for 2 main reason in my opinion. Maxwell has some very interesting battery technology that should help the Tesla battery business expand considerably over future years.
