A group of 144 students from 4 primary schools in Perth Western Australia participated in a Randomized Controlled Trial study using Fast ForWord products. Of the 144 students, half used Fast ForWord products while the other half did not.
Tests from the Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals (CELF-4) and the Queensland University Inventory of Literacy (QUIL) were given to the students both before and after implementation. On average, the students who used Fast ForWord made significantly greater language and literacy gains than the students who did not. These results suggest that using the Fast ForWord programs strengthened the students' foundational skills and better positioned them to benefit from the classroom curriculum.
