The North Lawn at UN Headquarters, which was replaced six years ago with a temporary building, should be restored to its former glory by next spring.
That's according to the man in charge of the demolition and restoration project, Assistant Secretary-General Stephen Cutts. Work is well underway to tear down the North Lawn Building, which served as a temporary home for hundreds of UN staff as well as key events such as the 2013 General Debate of the General Assembly.
Matthew Wells reports on the demise of the building.
