Today I made ZOMBIE cake pops from the app Plants vs Zombies, but I decided to add a twist by giving them GUMMI JELLO BRAINS! I've been wanting to do hidden jello cake pops for ages, and this was the perfect excuse!
I know technically Zombies have no brains, so these guys aren't anatomically correct but since they're not real anyway, who really cares :)
Storage: Because of the jello inside, these should be kept in the fridge and brought to room temp a couple of hours prior to serving. 3 Days in the fridge and 24 hours at room temp is recommended storage time :)
Tools & Equipment:
Polystyrene block (to rest the pops)
Lollypop sticks
Zip lock bags
Scissors
Spoon
Ingredients:
Strawberry Jello
Powdered gelatin
Condensed milk
Cale pop balls (recipe link below
Wilton eyes
White round ball sprinkles (sixlets - I used mints!)
Black and white sprinkels (jimmies - the long skinny ones)
Melted black candy melts (you can also use cookie icing)
Melted white chocolate tinted pale green

I'd love to see pics of your cakes and cake pops on ANY of the above -- You all know how mine turn out -- now show me YOUR creations!
