If you have silver, the time of year you're going to pull it out is during the holidays and oftentimes it's been in the cabinet for a year or so. It's going to be all tarnished. So what do you do? You grab a tube of toothpaste. Smear a little on the tarnished area. Rub it with a paper towel. Then rinse it off and you end up with perfectly polished silver.
