There are thousands of near-Earth asteroids, so how did NASA select Bennu? Heather Enos, OSIRIS-REx deputy principal investigator explains how Bennu is a carbon-rich asteroid, and why that is the material that we want to bring back to Earth and study in labs because these minerals are essential for life as we know it.
