With fashion, there’s often pressure to have the newest, trendiest items. This can be exhausting to keep up with, especially when so much time is spent finding something and then less than a year later, you’re not wearing it anymore. I’ve experienced this A LOT over the years and I’ve definitely learned that it’s not what I want. Now, restyling older pieces in my wardrobe has become one of my favorite things to do. This is specifically focused on bags and shoes that I’ve had for at least 3-5 years, but all the clothing I’m wearing (with one exception listed below) is also at least year old (most things are older). As I said in the video, the bags and shoes I’m highlighting today happen to be designer pieces but designer doesn’t automatically equal quality. I’ve found that now more than ever, big luxury brands are really skimping on quality and craftsmanship with a lot of their items. The upside is: smaller, lesser-known designers are making amazing things right now at more reasonable price points. Whatever your choice, the way you present yourself to the world should make you feel like yourself. That looks different for everyone and I’m finally in a place where I’m happy to be embracing that more.

I’ve been sharing everything that happens there first, but I’ll also include weekly updates in my video descriptions if you miss my IG posts. See below for this week!

If you haven’t seen my life update video talking all about the move and the changes happening, you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/wvwhJiEzllk

WEEKLY UPDATE: This week has gone by SO fast! I’ve been doing a lot of work for videos + other things coming up and it’s felt nice to fall into a working routine here in NYC. I’ve also been taking a step back from social media (not posting every single day, taking a week off from posting a video if I need to, etc.). It has been extremely helpful with reconnecting and sinking into things I care about. As I mentioned last week, I’m tired of constantly seeing and participating in perfection. Stepping back and opening my eyes to the *actual* world around me has been wonderful - a reminder that most things aren’t perfect and they’re better off that way. ❤️
