✎ His name is Sonny John Moore. While a young teenager in LA, he would attend punk gigs in Mexican American neighborhoods. He joined the American post-hardcore band From First to Last as the lead singer in 2004. He began his first tour as a solo artist in late 2007. On November 30, 2011, he was nominated for a total of five Grammy Awards at the 54th Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. Skrillex has won a total of eight Grammy Awards and holds the world record for most Grammys won by an Electronic Dance Music artist. He has collaborated with Diplo and Boys Noize to form the groups of Jack Ü and Dog Blood. He has cited Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails and The Doors as early influences on him. He was first exposed to electronic dance music after going to Daft Punk's highly praised 2006 Coachella set. In 2017, Skrillex produced and mixed 8, the eighth studio album by rock band Incubus.
