Press Conference: India's Potential as a Global Tourism Destination
India is now one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world, with its domestic demand nearly reaching 100 million passengers. Yet international arrivals have remained relatively low, at nine million arrivals. Against those findings, Indian policy-makers and industry experts jointly worked towards the objective of welcoming over 15 million foreign tourists by 2025 and becoming the world’s largest aviation market by 2030.
