NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD) seeks information and community feedback on the current and future needs for the data and computing architecture that supports SMD-funded scientific processes and workflows. The SMD Data and Computing Architecture Study currently is conducting a strategic evaluation of SMD’s data and computing infrastructure with the end goal of improving coordination of NASA’s computing capabilities to improve alignment with NASA Open-Source Science policies. Information about computing needs and use cases from this RFI will be essential in evolving NASA’s data and computing infrastructure to support Open Science.
