John Fowler: I had a customer in Asia recently that I met with. I came in to meet with him and he said, "John, you're completely wrong about Exadata." That was sort of his opening statement. Very un-cultural, by the way. I was thinking, "Oh, great. This is going to be great. He's mad at me," right? … He said, "It was much better than you said. It was much faster. We were able to not only put the one application on it, but two other applications on this. And we figured out we can unify our North American and Asian product catalogues and we can unify our North American and Asian customer views on this system. We never thought we could ever do that. We didn't even consider that as a project.”
