Justin Kan on creator economy, shutting down Atrium, leaving San Francisco, mental health and Twitch

Justin Kan is an entrepreneur and investor who co-founded the law-tech company, Atrium, where he served as CEO. He is the co-founder of the live video platform Justin.tv (Twitch).

Atrium built software for startups to navigate fundraising, hiring, acquisition deals and collaboration with their legal team. Atrium has raised around $75 million in venture capital funding from firms like Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, and Y Combinator.

In 2007, Justin Kan with Kyle Vogt, Michael Seibel, and Emmett Shear, started Justin.tv, which became Twitch, the popular video game streaming platform. On August 25, 2014, Amazon acquired Twitch Interactive for $970 million.
