Seaworld announced on Tuesday that over the past few weeks, Tilikum the killer whale, has shown signs of deteriorating health. Seaworld's veterinarian staff reports that Tilikum is showing signs of drug-resistant bacterial infection in his lungs. During his time in captivity, Tilikum has been linked to three human deaths, including that of his trainer Dawn Brancheau. Tilikum was featured in the 2013 documentary Blackfish, which was highly critical of Seaworld's treatment of captive orca whales.
