Let’s make a delicious garden-inspired drink!
Lavender Mint Mojito Mocktail
Ingredients:
- Water: 1 cup
- Granulated Sugar: 1 cup
- Dried Lavender: 2 tbsp
- Butterfly Pea Flowers (optional for color change): 1 tbsp
- Fresh Mint Leaves
- Lime, quartered
- Ice
- Sparkling Water
Lavender Simple Syrup:
1. Combine 1 cup each of water and sugar, 2 tbsp dried lavender, and optionally, butterfly pea flowers, in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves.
2. Simmer for 1 minute, then remove from heat. Steep for 30 minutes for flavor and color.
3. Strain and cool. Store extra in the fridge.
Lavender Mint Mojito Mocktail:
1. Muddle fresh mint and lime quarter in a glass.
2. Add 2-3 tbsp lavender syrup.
3. Top with ice and sparkling water. Stir.
4. Garnish with mint or lime. Enjoy your vibrant mocktail!
Note:
To add an enchanting color change add the butterfly pea flower at the end, steep 1 tbsp of butterfly pea flowers in 1 cup of water, strain, and cool. The acidity of the lime will change the color of the drink from a beautiful blue to a delightful purple, adding an element of magic to your beverage.
