Mahalo's Windows expert Sean Hewitt covers the basics of using Internet Explorer 9, including how to set your home page.
To access Internet Explorer, click on the "e" icon in the bottom left of the
Taskbar. Once you click on it, you will be taken to your homepage. From here, you may also customize your homepage. Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. This will prompt a menu in which you will want to click on Internet options (third from bottom).
This will open the Internet Options window. At the top of the window you will find the Home page category. Click within the text field to type a new homepage if you want to change it.
Internet Explorer Tabs

To stay on this webpage while navigating another webpage, you can open up another tab. This new tab will show you the sites you visit the most. Click on any of the sites to navigate them.
To add a link to a tab, just right-click on it, which will prompt a menu. Click on Open in new tab. If you want to bookmark a page, click on the star icon in the upper-right corner of the screen then click Add to favorites. This will open the Add a Favorite window in which you add the site's name in the Name field.
One of the newest features on Internet Explorer 9 is the ability to manage your add-ons. To access this feature, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, followed by Manage add-ons. Within this window, you can see the Load time for every add-on you have. If you would like to remove an add-on that has a really long load time, just click on the Disable button in the lower-right corner of the window.
Internet Explorer Fullscreen Mode

If you are viewing a webpage and would like to see more of the webpage and less of the browser, press the F11 key and this will make your webpage fullscreen. To exit this mode press F11 again.
Internet Explorer Version

If you would like to know what version browser you have, click the Alt button followed by Help. This will prompt a small drop-down menu in which you will click on About Internet Explorer. This will open an Internet Explorer window informing you which version you have. With version 9, you can search any topic by just adding it into the address bar without entering the actual website address. It will open the new page in the default search engine which is Bing.
