People associate cans with mass produced low quality beer. However, many small, specialty producers are putting their beer in cans because they're actually just as good, if not better, than bottles. For one, they don't let any light hit the beer and UV rays skunk beer. They're lighter, easier to recycle, and easier to transport. There's no air between the top of the beer and the top of the container. So there's no chance of oxidizing the beer. All beer cans are lined and you won't get the metallic taste from the metal unless you drink it straight from the can, which is a good reason to put all beer into a glass.
