United Nations - The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) looks back on a very successful first year of implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Wu Hongbo, UN DESA's Under-Secretary-General touched upon the vital role of Member State engagement and national ownership of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the successful implementation of the agenda. He also looks ahead to a year in which DESA will celebrate 7 decades of supporting Member States on Economic and Social Affairs.
