In September 2014, Tesco recruited 36 long term unemployed people in Dunfermline to work at it's new store in the town. Through a regeneration partnership programme with Fife Council, Opportunities Fife and Fife College, the new recruits were given the training, skills and confidence they needed to get back into work. One of them is single-mum Nicola Strachan .... this is Nicola's story. She is one of 6,500 long-term unemployed people who've been helped back to work since Tesco launched its Regeneration Partnership programme back in 2000.
