Poppy Delevigne Visits the DRC

Is this one of the worst places to be a child?
Poppy Delevingne travels to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) with Save the Children in support of its No Child Born to Die campaign to find out why it is one of the worst places in the world to be a child.
Visit to donate to help provide vital equipment and train more health care workers to save children’s lives.
Poppy says: “It’s been an adventure which has taken me completely out of my comfort zone but it’s been incredibly thought provoking…. I’m going to go back to the UK a changed woman…. Meeting mothers and children who so desperately need help has been truly emotional….. I can’t wait to share some of my experiences when I get home…. We need to change the hopeless situation in the beautiful and magical DRC.”
Save the Children is calling for the international community to make a clear commitment to Universal Health Coverage across the globe so that every person has access to free, essential health care, not just those that can afford it and to commit to end preventable maternal, newborn and child deaths by 2030
