While prop firms aren’t necessarily scams, the odds are stacked against you. Many people jump into these setups, drawn by the dream of quick trading profits, without testing their skills on a paper trading platform first. Practicing this way can help determine if you’re ready before moving to a prop firm.

Sometimes, better alternatives exist. For example, you could focus on improving your education and moving from basic stock day trading to options trading. Options allow for lower capital risk, potentially offering a more secure way to grow your account.
