Harvard Divinity School hosted a discussion on May 7 featuring some of Harvard's top scholars on religious conflict and interfaith peace-building in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings. Christopher Lydon, award-winning journalist and host of Radio Open Source, moderated the conversation. Participants included:• HDS Dean David N. Hempton on religious conflict;
• Jocelyne Cesari, Lecturer on Islamic Studies, on how things have changed—and how they haven't—for American Muslims since 9/11;
• WSRP Research Associate Zilka Spahic Siljak on interfaith peace-building;
• Harvey Cox, HollisResearch Professor of Divinity, on violence and the Book of Lamentations;
• Sally Finestone, counselor to Jewish students at HDS and rabbi, Congregation Or Atid, on faith's lessons for dealing with tragedy.
