The Greater Hartford Teacher Education Initiative is a teacher education program working with middle and secondary school history teachers from 20 public schools in the greater Hartford area. Ten different teachers each year gather for a five day workshop in the summer led by Harvard Divinity Sschool Professor Diane Moore to learn the Religious Literacy Project method for understanding religion and apply the method to their own teaching.
This project is funded by the Hartford Foundation in collaborations with the Connecticut Council for Interreligious Understanding and the West Hartford Public Schools.
