United Nations - In her semi-annual briefing, Sandra Honoré, Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), spoke on the upcoming elections in Haiti. Despite the absence of a functioning Parliament since 12 January, the consensus reached on 11 January between the President and a number of political parties had opened a path for holding long-overdue elections.
