Sheila del Bosque - Ona (#BerkleeAnywhere Concert Series)

Cuban flutist and composer Sheila del Bosque accompanied by pianist Zahili Gonzalez Zamora perform from Boston, MA as part of the #BerkleeAnywhere Concert Series. “Ona” (meaning “Path” in Yoruba) is an original by del Bosque. Awarded a full-tuition scholarship, del Bosque enrolled in January 2018 at Berklee College of Music, where she has shared the stage with musicians such as Paquito d’Rivera, Berta Rojas, Omar Hakim, and Aida Cuevas. She is one of the most in-demand young flutists in Cuba and her music features contemporary and traditional Afro-Cuban music with the influence of European and jazz ingredients.
