Join Alok Sharma, COP26 President, The Government of the United Kingdom, and Gim Huay Neo, Managing Director, Centre for Nature and Climate, World Economic Forum, to discuss the significance of public-private collaboration in delivering more radical climate action.
The international climate conference - COP26, in Glasgow, witnessed a slew of climate commitments from the public and private sector alike. It served as a meaningful juncture for multi-stakeholder collaboration.
Middle of the road, between the two successive COPs, there is much to review and more to preview in the run up to COP27, in Egypt.
The purpose of this session is to discuss the significance of public-private collaboration established at COP26 in pursuing the goal of 1.5°C, in context of the following:
• Delivering more radical climate action, particularly across high-emitting sectors.
• Challenges and opportunities of mobilizing finance to support climate resilient growth in emerging economies.
• Addressing the impending energy-crisis situation and its impact on the progress of the Energy Transition
