Heather Layton's Intro to Painting students are collaborating with Jordan Health Center to transform uninviting patient waiting areas and treatment spaces with colorful artwork relevant to each center's patient population. Following a successful venture at Jordan Health's Brown Square facility last year, this semester's student artists were invited to paint for the second floor of Jordan Health Center on Holland Street, with a focus on creating artwork with themes of family, LGBTQ, and HIV issues.

Funding for the "Turning a Waiting Room into a Welcoming Room" grants has been provided by Rochester Center for Community Leadership (RCCL).
