Postdocs are the driving force behind much of the cutting-edge research that takes place at Cambridge. They are the fastest growing and most diverse staff group, and with increasing numbers they face huge challenges both professionally and personally.
Providing better support for these young people, who are imperative to the University’s work, is the primary role of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPdA). The OPdA operates Postdoc Centres where postdocs and their families can find support with their career development, collaborations with industry, entrepreneurship, and life in Cambridge.
The University’s flagship Postdoc Centre is now open on the Eddington development in North West Cambridge – providing more space and more opportunities for these important researchers to flourish.
