Bek’elech Merga wakes up every morning at 6:00 am to prepare for her classes. In addition to the regular classes she teaches, Bek’elech provides support to older students at the school, who are learning to become teachers themselves. As part of an inspirational peer-to-peer learning programme, Bek’elech’s student-teachers give lessons in basic language and maths to younger children. She says that this new practice has improved learning outcomes for both the preschoolers and the older students. Find out more here:
