I’m high above the Swiss village of Zermatt, celebrating the wonders of the Alps — and marveling at a 100-year-old railway that still brings travelers 10,000 feet above sea level. There’s a big hotel up here, with big views...and if you’re riding just one big lift in the region, this is my choice.
