Rescuers found Ryzhik on the icy streets of a Siberian city, with his paws completely frozen.

They took him to a groundbreaking vet, who 3D printed four titanium paws and attached them using a technique similar to teeth implants on humans.

The vet designed and 3D printed the paws in just 24 hours and has used the technique on small dogs, too.

3D printing is transforming lives across the world, producing buildings in days. Scientists are even learning how to print human tissue such as cartilage, to help the 1 in 2 over-65s who suffer from arthritis.
