Samsung's Galaxy A Series has always been this interesting paradox. Sometimes it's the premium mid-ranger that brings some S features to the mainstream. Sometimes it's the platform for experimentation. The original Galaxy Alpha was Samsung's first metallic phone, only to see that extend to the Note 4 and S6 a year later. And we’ve even seen extravagant cases like the Galaxy A82 with its flip out camera.
It's hard to predict which idea will drive enough traction to stick, or what each update will be known for, but one thing that doesn't change is their success. Samsung sells more of the A series than even their flagship Galaxy S. Last year's Galaxy A51 was probably one of their most conservative and least attractive iterations, and yet somehow it was their best selling phone. It’s sort of proof that the even with all the wow factor that any flagship can bring, most people really just want something that works, but for 2021, Samsung says Awesome is for everyone.
This is the Galaxy A52, Samsung’s top of the line mid-ranger, which on my book is maybe the best update the company has brought to the series. See, price and features are all nice things to have, but if you can add a bit of style to the package, I think the premise can go farther.
