Stephan Orth travels the world using Couchsurfing and wrote several travel books which are bestsellers in Germany. In this video he explains how he finds his stories and gives recommendations for traveling in Iran.

Ever since Stephan used Couchsurfing on his travels to connect with locals in the best way possible. To follow his passion of traveling he studied journalism and also went studying abroad in Australia to explore this part of the world.
After working for one of Germanys largest news websites ‚Spiegel Online‘ as a travel editor for 9 years and his success with the Bestseller „Couchsurfing in Iran“ he decided to focus more on travel writing and quit his job. Currently he published his new book „Couchsurfing in Russia“ and has many readings all over Germany before he takes on a new adventure.
His books will soon be published in German following their success in the German book market.
This video is part of „A Life of Travel“ - a documentary series introducing you to several jobs & career paths which enable you to combine travel and work. In this series I interviewed world travelers from all around the world with different professions who give you tips and advice on how you can get started traveling but also name their favorite travel destinations.
