Calling the plight of the Rohingya "one of the most serious humanitarian crises we have ever faced," the United Nations Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide, Adama Dieng, makes an impassioned appeal for an urgent response. He also draws attention to the crisis in Syria. Citing genocides that have taken place over the course of history, he stresses that "dealing with the past is dealing with the present, it is dealing with the future."
