More than 300 child soldiers, including 87 girls, have been released by armed groups in Yambio, South Sudan. The UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) has been leading the project, working closely with key partners such as UNICEF, state and local authorities as well as community groups. This is the largest release of children from armed groups the country has seen for many years.
