The University of Rochester Orchestras present a digital concert, gala, and fundraiser reflecting on our fall 2020 semester. Join us as we present the following program, including bonus commentary and reflections.

PROGRAM:

Claude Debussy, Danse sacrée et danse profane
Jacob Rose, Piano

Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Four Novelletten

Clara Schumann, Konzertsatz in f minor
Dr. Anna Maimine, Piano

Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky, Serenade for Strings

This evening we are raising funds to install a Dante Network in our concert hall. This will allow us, and all other performing arts organizations, to make recordings and continue our partnership with the University of Rochester’s Audio and Music Engineering Program. The cost of this project is approximately $20,000, and we would like to raise $5,000-$10,000 through our gala this evening.

To Donate, please visit the following link and be sure to specify that your donation is for the University of Rochester RIVER CAMPUS orchestras: https://securelb.imodules.com/s/1676/giving19/giving19.aspx?sid=1676&gid=2&pgid=712&cid=1541&appealcode=15U2Y

In addition to this evening’s program, our Captain Beethoven performance premiered on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in collaboration with Oberlin Conservatory and Dr. Tiffany Chang.
