"herd" is a feature length documentary filmed in stunning 4K resolution. It follows the last wild American Buffalo as they make their yearly migration from the harsh winters of Yellowstone National Park into milder conditions of the Paradise Valley in Montana. Roughly 4000 remaining purebred wild American Buffalo must navigate the political, economic, and social landscape of the United State livestock industry, as instinct drives them towards easier feeding and their ancestral birthing grounds.

The crew of "herd" will be spending months in Yellowstone National Park alongside park rangers, biologists and advocacy groups including The Buffalo Field Campaign. As we film these magnificent creatures we will bring to light the struggles they face every day; from the inhumane hazing just moments after birth to claustrophobic penning and slaughtering being enacted by APHIS (Animal Plant Health Inspection Service) through the National Park Service. Due to the controversial theory that Brucella Abortus (Brucellosis) can be transmitted to private cattle stock when the Buffalo herds roam out of park lands, multiple agencies are seeking the elimination of the last remaining buffalo.

In addition we will be traveling to Alaska to document how large wild free roaming caribou herds are being managed. Complete coverage will also involve heading to the Dakotas and Texas to witness how the bison herds on wildlife preserves are kept genetically pure and free of disease.

The goal of "herd" is to produce a moving documentary bringing to light the struggle between multiple government agencies and the last surviving bison.

Spending the next year in Yellowstone National Park, Texas, Alaska and the Dakotas, we will bring our viewers a visually stunning 4K documentary shedding light on a important issue very few people are aware of.
