With more than 600.000 inhabitants Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland. Most of the historical sights and buildings as well as a number of large murals are located in the center making it easy to explore the city by walking. Another great thing is that most of the museums are free of charge.
One of the highlights for me was the Glasgow Necropolis, a Victorian cemetery located on a very prominent hill to the east of Glasgow Cathedral.
I met up with Kathi who lives in Glasgow for more than 4 years to get to know the trendy parts of the city such as the Hidden Lane in Finnieston and the SWG3 followed by one of the must things to do in Glasgow - ia proper whiskey experience and a night out with live music!
In the series „Life by the River“ I’m about to show you things to do on & off the beaten path focussing on hip & trendy areas with the help of locals in Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool.
