United Nations - Giulia Vallese, UNFPA’s Representative in Nepal, describes the situation for tens of thousands of vulnerable women in the following audio slide show.
The needs of women of reproductive age in Nepal are of particular concern to the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), especially in the aftermath of powerful earthquakes that recently shook the country.
The agency says pregnant women need support to deliver in safe environments, while other women and girls need access to family planning to avoid unplanned pregnancies.
