In this throwaway society, far too much rubbish gets sent to landfill each year, so if you can reuse or recycle an old item, then you should go for it. If you're a regular Tic Tac-eater, you probably end up throwing a lot of Tic Tac containers in the trash. You might not have considered that you can reuse or upcycle these little containers to turn them into a variety of useful items. Take a look at these 12 cool and creative ideas and be inspired!

Use Tic Tac containers to make pencil sharpening less messy. Or use your containers to hold paper clips.

1. To empty the container you just go from the lid end and pull up! If you would like, you can leave the label on.

2. To glue the sharpener, all you have to do is turn the sharpener so that the hole is facing up. Just make sure that it's on the side that has the hole in the lid. Glue the top of each side and the bottom of each side to the container.

3. All you have to do is hold it for a few minutes to set the glue. Then you have a covered sharpener.
