Hello Future Mamas,
My name is Ali Graboski and today I'm going to talk about pregnancy and oral care. As you know, pregnancy brings many changes, including whereas oral health is concerned.
In order to help you, I have gathered a number of oral care tips to follow during your pregnancy. These will ensure that your oral health is excellent, reducing the risk of gum disease.
1. Floss - you need to floss on a daily basis, as this will keep the risk of gum disease down to a minimum (teeth brushing not enough).
2. Brush for at least two minutes - no matter how much in a hurry you are, follow proper brushing technique (and for the duration recommended).
3. Antibacterial mouthwash - use it after each meal, in order to reduce the amount of bacteria in your mouth.
4. Watch out for the things you eat - acidic foods can damage the enamel of the teeth, predisposing you to dental problems.
5. Visit the dentist more often - pregnancy can lead to gingivitis, which can be successfully treated if found out early.
These tips are easy to follow and they will ensure the best dental health during your pregnancy. For more information on the subject, visit ConsumerHealthDigest.com.
