a Chaotic Week Back at Work ???????? | Renovating a Property in Argentina

It was our first week back at work since my Dad arrived in Argentina and we were ready to hit the ground running!

My dad brought a suitcase full of tools from Canada because the plan was to get the house painted, but as usual, things are running a bit behind schedule. So, we may not have gotten around to painting, but there was plenty of work to be done all around us.

The main focus this week was completing the controlled burns with the fire department in order to clear the brush we had cut. This was a whole process - we had to apply for a permit from the province, hire firefighters, monitor the weather closely, and get the job done before burn season ended.

We had 3 back to back days of burns that ran well into the night, and of course, it's tradition to share a BBQ with the firefighters at the end of the work day, so the whole process was actually a lot of fun.
