AFFIRMATIONS WITHIN THIS MEDITATION:
I am allowed to say no
I show myself love when I say no.
If other people are disappointed, that’s ok. Adults are capable of disappointment.
I deserve to rest, to recharge, and to do things that bring me and me alone fulfillment and joy.
I do not need to step in to fix everyone else’s problems. I trust people to be able to deal with the consequences of their own actions.
My body is healing every day.
I am in relationships with people who are equally supportive, and who give the same level of care that I give.
I understand that just because someone asks me to do something, does not mean I have to do it.
When I feel guilty, I know it’s not because I’ve done something wrong, and that feeling guilty is actually a sign I’m finally standing up for me.
I can pause and take my time. I do not need to subscribe to urgency culture and answer every text message or phone call immediately.
I give myself permission to think about it. I tell people that I’ll get back to them even when I feel the pressure to give them an answer right away.
I am a good person and I am not selfish for taking care of my own needs.
My body is healing every day.
I was never meant to do it all alone. I was never meant to do it all.
It’s safe for me to ask for help. It’s safe for me to receive help.
I’m becoming more and more confident and able to stand up for myself and my own needs.
My needs matter and the people who love me will support me in getting those needs met.
I do not need to perform or betray myself for love.
I am proud of how far I have come.
I take a deep breath and forgive myself for everything I did in survival mode.
I am healing every day.
