“The first time I saw Hikmat it was raining and no one was there to push him, so I took him.” Abdullah, 11, tells us how he met his best friend Hikmat, 12, at the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. “We left Syria because of the bombs and missiles. At home I can manage.” Hikmat who uses a wheelchair to move tells us he can crawl inside the house but he can’t push himself around the camp. Thankfully, Abdullah is there to help. Both Syrian boys attend a UNICEF supported-school and enjoy sharing, exploring and playing together - together, they’re a team! Sometimes all you need is a little push. #foreverychild, friendship.
