Save some calories and some dollars with this homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe. Olivia shows us how to make the Starbucks-inspired drink with less sugar and natural ingredients. No espresso machine? Use a Moka Pot (aka Stovetop Espresso Pot) and follow these step-by-step instructions.
Pumpkin spice:
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
Stir together cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg if using. Place spice blend in a sealed jar for up to six months and use in recipes that call for pumpkin pie spice.

Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe:
Make your espresso (2 shots per 16 oz) and pour into a cup.
Put 2.5 tablespoons of pumpkin puree into the espresso and stir until the puree is mixed in with the espresso.
Add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup.
Add 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice.
Add ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Stir.
Pour milk into a saucepan, small pot, or milk frother and heat. The ideal temperature for steaming milk on a home espresso machine is between 150°F - 155°F. In your pitcher there should be 25% aeration.
Pour milk into mug and leave some room for your froth and spoon that out on top!
(Optional) top with almond whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
Sprinkle the top with a pinch of pumpkin spice.
