United Nations - According to UNHCR, over 65 million people around the world have been forced from their homes, and among them are 21 million refugees. In a small kitchen in New York City, refugees from eleven different countries are communicating with and contributing to their new homeland through their best known medium: food. ‘Eat Offbeat’ hires passionate home cooks and trains them as professional chefs who conceive, prepare and deliver authentic ethnic meals.
